The Feb 12th -14th Camp has had to be postponed today in line with the Level 4 lockdown, so this is an official recognition of that.
We have sent out notices to all parents, caregivers, leaders, helpers and admin staff to advise them, as well as handle calls over the past 3 hours.
New date set for the camp is Fri 14th - Sun 16th May 2021, and we'll be as excited then to proceed as we were today. The month will fly! Can't wait!!
IF YOU'D LIKE TO COME TO THE CAMP AND WEREN'T BOOKED IN, GIVE US A RING! ALL CURRENT CAMPERS HAVE PRIORITY OF COURSE, BUT IF SOME CAN'T DO THE NEXT DATES, THAT WILL CREATE VACANCIES WHICH WE CAN FILL WITH NEW APPLICANTS!

When I did the Sydney to Melbourne trip of 1016km 2 years ago in Sept/Oct 2017, a number of people spoke to me and said they wished they could have come on the walk as well! To transport a number of people to Sydney with 33 days off work, giving them food and accommodation each night etc would have been an impossible task, but if the walk was held here in Melbourne, and it was done on some of the beautiful walking tracks we have here- that would be quite possible!
Company heads don’t usually get out and shake the charity tin, however there’s not much Gary Parsons and Steve Woodroffe won’t do, to raise money for their Kids of Gold camps.
Kids of Gold camps have been running in the Yarra Valley, Melbourne, since 2003. Helping children build confidence, make friends, and navigate bullying and social isolation.
“I returned to teaching after a break in 1999 and it was a shock to see children struggling in those areas,” Mr Parsons said.
We are looking forward to another great Sausage Sizzle Day on Saturday 2nd November 2019, and for just the perfect weather and many customers as we had in 2018!
There were 64 of us altogether enjoying nice weather after predicted heavy downpours- rain was falling north, east and west of us, but not where we were! Had to use sunscreen for the Saturday afternoon outdoor activity for the first May camp I can ever remember! The kids were very attentive and well-behaved.... well, most of the time anyway!
